Smart E-Switch Platform
|
|
|
“Control is shifting from financial provider to cardholder.”
Smart E-Switch provides the best prevention, detection and resolution of card payment fraud. Smart E-Switch
is the only really effective system to battle the increase in card fraud while guaranteeing an excellent
quality of service to cardholders.
We provide our clients with a patented system, a turn-key hardware and software platform as well as
cardholder support through our customer support center. Our system is available on a global basis and
can secure any of the over 5 billion issued cards.
Our Smart E-Switch platform is implemented to work hand in hand with the card issuing bank’s authorization
system. We can integrate it or provide a full service solution, including help desk operations. Our
system can be integrated into the banks existing authorization system or it can be hosted separately,
depending on the speed and resources available at the bank.
What is involved in implementing it? Our team provides full-service implementation and support to the
card issuer, or the card issuer has the option of using our existing IT partners to implement the technology
under our guidance. The User Interface by which cardholders and the bank’s customer service can set
limits can be integrated into a bank’s existing online banking system or operated on our service platform.
We work with each bank or card issuer to determine the most effective implementation model to meet your
needs.
Our Smart E-Switch System uses a powerful and innovative strong mutual authentication with a multi-factor
authentication method provided by our business partner, B32Trust. This system of mutual authentication
using a strong multi-factor out-of-band authentication method can also be used by the banks to secure
their online banking systems.
- Smart E-Switch Control – provides control to accountholders by enabling them to set their own
user limits and actively protect their cards from fraudulent activity by deciding when to switch their
cards to on or off. With Smart E-Switch Control, cardholders are able to set limits by using a one-click
interface, web application, SMS commands pushed by mobile application, by phone (IVR) or by calling
the bank’s customer service. These limits can be set using various parameters such as but not limited
to amount, cumulative amount, time period, geography, type of transaction (CNP/MOTO, local ATM, cross-border
payment, cross-border ATM). Account holders are authenticated using a strong multi-factor authentication
method.
OR

authorization requests by identifying the type of transaction in order to properly match and test each
authorization request to the appropriate pre-defined blocking limit.

cardholders of card transaction authorization requests. Notification can be through email, instant messaging

How It Works
|
The CardSwitch system provides different kinds of control parameters. The four main types: local ATM
transactions, out of country ATM transactions, out of country card payments, MOTO payments. Under each
type, blocking limits can be further defined by: time period and/or cumulative amount and /or single
transaction amount and/or geographic location and/or merchant category. For instance, you can be very
specific in what you want to do, such as “unlock John Smith’s card for Internet, $200.00”.
